Cast members of Steel Magnolias will finally be able to wear a steel magnolia costume on TV, thanks to the help of a new company called the Magnolia Company.
The company is a partnership between the studio and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
The company will start selling cast members’ costumes for $250 apiece, and they’ll be available for purchase on Amazon starting today.
That means cast members will be able wear a cast Magnolia costume for free, which is not something most people would be able do in real life.
Magnolia is the fifth series from the cast of the cult 1990s film Steel Magnollas, which spawned a film franchise based on the original film.
This time around, cast members are wearing steel magnolsas that were made with the same material as the originals, so they’re not just a throwback.
The new company will be a part of a larger trend in costume innovation.
Companies like Ironclad are starting to sell costumes made of recycled material, and other companies like Fanny Lauren have started offering clothing made with organic fabrics.
These innovations have helped companies like Magnolia grow into businesses, and Magnolia joins a growing list of companies that are creating new, affordable, and functional costumes for cast members.
